About Us
The Founders

Our Vision
Our aim was to start from a new, blank page and rethinking the world of care to ensure that it meets the personal needs of each and every customer. The goal was not to measure ourselves against the competition and be ‘better than,’ but to be different, measuring success against the needs of our customers and be ‘better for.’
We built upon the thoughts that grew out of our own negative experiences and drove that passion into creating many new experiences for others where we can now say, “This is better.”
But we won’t be stopping there. We will be asking ourselves daily, “Yes, this is better, but how can we make it even better?”
But our vision is only half the story. There are missing puzzle pieces to this picture and that’s where you come in. Your needs, your wishes, your goals in life. All these things need to be added in to our vision in order to make the service we offer complete.
We don’t want to just provide care to our people but also provide a way of living, not only for the person we care for but their family, friends and you too.
Acacia Homecare is not just about the two of us. There is a great family here that we would love for you to meet. Give us a call and come and see us and you can truly understand for yourself.
Acacia Homecare Services
Home is a place where people feel safe and secure. Home is familiar. The home is a refuge where a person’s memories spill out from their mind and cover the walls with pictures, cover the shelves with books and ornaments and cover the dining table with those marks and patterns that each tell a story of their own.
Home is that favourite chair that creaks a bit with one button missing from the back. Home is the front door that’s a bit stiff and you have to gently pull the handle backwards to make it open.
At Acacia homecare, we believe that your home can be an important part of the care process. While it may be true that some situations require a person to spend time in long term supervised care, the majority of people requiring assistance and care would benefit far more from being enabled to continue life in their own home.
Enabling the individual to keep full control of their day-to-day living is not simply a service we offer or something we look to encourage – it is a foundation that underpins everything we do.
Here are just some of the services we offer:

Personal Care
Our personal care service is designed to support the individual with their day-to-day living, as well as providing the individual with the encouragement allowing them full control to remain living independently.
Our personal care service can support the individual with dressing, prompting medication, bathing and continence care, at a time to suit your convenience. Maintaining the individual’s dignity is of paramount importance to us, which is why our support workers will ensure the individual feel comfortable at all times.

Live-in Care
Our live-in care service supports individuals who require a significant level of support throughout the day and night, giving their family and friends peace of mind knowing their loved ones are receiving expert care in the comfort of their own home. Unlike a care home, where many individuals must be considered, live-in care offers a personal one-to-one service tailored to each individual’s needs. This flexible care adapts to regular routines, specific requirements, and changing circumstances.
Our support workers live with the customer and take regular breaks throughout the day, which are covered either by family members or our domiciliary care workers.

Culture Care
We believe that receiving care at home is not just a preference for our clients but a fundamental part of quality care itself. However, the benefits of home care can be diminished if those providing it do not fit seamlessly into the home environment.
At Acacia Homecare, we provide support workers who are not only professionally trained but also culturally aware, ensuring they respect and align with each client’s beliefs and background. Our care services allow individuals to remain in the comfort of their own home while maintaining their personal space and independence.

Dementia Care
At Acacia we do not see Dementia itself as a disease. Rather, it refers to a set of symptoms that describe a condition. One of the most common feelings amongst relatives of someone living with dementia is that they are losing the person they love. It doesn’t have to be this way.
When living with dementia, being able to stay in the familiarity of your own home with one-to-one, tailored support can all make a real difference. Our dementia care programme aims to minimise anxiety and frustration and promote overall health and wellbeing.

Empathy & Compassion care
We offer empathy and compassion care at any stage of your life. We aim to support you during this difficult time, making life more comfortable for everyone involved. We ensure that you are treated as an individual, with dignity and respect.
Our empathy and compassion care service supports adults who wish to remain living in the comfort of their own homes. The main objective is to provide you and your family the best quality of life you deserve. Acacia’s team of care workers have the required skills and experience to help you through these times.

MS Care
Being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis can be life changing, but doesn’t necessarily mean a loss of independence. Acacia enables people to continue living in their own homes, supported by fully trained care workers.
You remain in control of your life, and we provide the appropriate level of support to suit your needs. That means supporting you to achieve the things that matter to you most – this could be having an active social life, learning new skills, or feeling good about yourself.

Learning Disability Support
Most people with a learning disability are treated as ‘different.’ Acacia supports adults with learning difficulties like everyone else, as unique individuals. At Acacia we also believe in providing employment opportunities to people with learning disabilities.
We do not see any disabilities as a reason to give up, instead we aim to support you to fulfil your day-to-day activities. We offer a bespoke service that is tailored to suit your care needs. It could be that you require assistance in promoting daily living skills or taking a trip to the local library.

Mental Health Support
Many people with mental health problems are often treated as ‘different,’ but at Acacia Homecare, we see each person as a unique individual deserving of compassionate and respectful care. One of the most common struggles for those facing mental health challenges is the feeling of isolation, but it doesn’t have to be this way.
We offer a bespoke service tailored to your needs, delivered by specially trained support workers. Whether you need someone to listen, accompany you on a walk, or provide more structured support, Acacia Homecare is here to help.

Other Tailored Services
In addition to personal care services, Acacia Homecare offers support with a variety of daily tasks both inside and outside the home. At home, we can assist with light domestic chores such as washing dishes, laundry, changing bedding, meal preparation, gardening, or simply providing companionship during a favourite card or board game. Our services also include helping with shopping, attending appointments, and participating in social activities.
Should any additional needs or requests arise, our team is always ready to provide the necessary guidance and support to ensure all aspects of your home and social life are taken care of as part of your overall care.
